Local cafeteria

Feeling hungry after a full day of discovering the glaciers, fjords and mountains?

Come join us at Mölla Guesthouse in Olden. Situated right next to the Nordfjord, you can enjoy your meal whilst enjoying the splendid view, eating outside if the weather is good, or inside if the weather is “Norwegian”.

Our local cafeteria serves local food, made by a local chef making food the Norwegian way. The menu is exiting, and changes depending on what type of fish is being caught.

The cafeteria is an old mill built in the 1920. The house is now restored, whilst keeping the integrity and original milling equipment intact. The walls are decorated with local artwork, and historical information regarding the building, and the village of Olden.

We do have wifi, but you’ll probably forget to use it, since you’ll be occupied enjoying the view of the Nordfjord.

Welcome to our site.

Who are we? We are Briksdal Adventure, a small activity company based in Olden, right by the end of the Nordfjord.

We focus on bringing our guests into the Norwegian nature. Our goal is to show you the way, and let you create memories to cherrish for the rest of your life.

We focus on beeing the opposite of extreme. We want you to be able to bring your entire family along, and letting you experience the Norwegian nature together.

We offer glacier guiding in Stryn, kayaking / rib on the Nordfjord.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have not received a booking confirmation.

Our booking system automatically sends a confirmation to the email address provided when booking the tour. If you have not received a booking confirmation, please check the socalled “SPAM” or “Trash” folders of your email account.

Besides the automatic booking confirmation, We will always send you an information email with the details about your tour (i.e. meeting time and location, what to bring, etc). This email is normally sent by our Customer Service within 12 hours of your booking.

I tried to book, but my payment was declined.

Most of the cards that are declined are debit cards. If your payment is declined, we advice you to try to book the tour using another (credit) card. If you are still experiencing difficulties with another credit card, please send us an email at, and we will help you to reserve a spot on the tour you wish.

Declines can happen for a variety of reasons. When we submit a charge to your bank, they have automated systems that determine whether or not to accept the charge. These systems take various signals into account, such as your spending habits, account balance, and card information like the expiration date and CVC.

Please make sure all information is filled out correctly.

Since these signals are constantly changing, a previously successful card might be declined in the future. Even if all of the card information is correct, and you previously had a successful payment, a future charge can still be declined by a bank’s overzealous fraud systems. If all of the card information seems correct, it is best to contact your bank.

What happens with a planned tour if it is bad weather?

We follow the weather forecasts from the Norwegian Meteorologisk Institutt closely. You can check them yourself here.

Like you, we like to hike in nice weather. However, some clouds, rain and wind are not a problem for participating on our tours. Before the tour, we always send our guests an information email with instructions about proper clothing to bring. If needed, we also provides rental of hiking boots and waterproof hiking pants and jackets*.

In case the weather forecast is really bad, we may cancel your tour. In that event, you will receive an email, at the latest 6 hours before departure, and you will get a full refund to the credit-card you used when booking.

Weather in the mountains may change fast. Safety comes first, and we will always respect the weather conditions. In case we have to abort an already started tour and turn around while we are in the mountains, no refund is given.

Is my credit card charged immediately when I book online?

Your credit card won’t be charged until the day before when the tour is confirmed.

My order has status PENDING!

On activities where we have a minimum number participants to arrange trip you will get status PENDING in your order confirmation if we don’t have enough entries. As soon as we have enough participants, we send a new order confirmation with status CONFIRMED.

If we don’t get enough participants within 7:00pm the day before, we will contact you. No money will be charged from your card as long as the order is PENDING or CANCELLED.
